NOTD: China Glaze Grape Juice

This polish was really very hard to capture. I think my picture turned out a touch more of a darker purple than it actually is, and you can see that my fingers look smudgy like they were moving -they weren't. This was the best shot I could get.

The Color: Grape Juice is on the lighter side of a medium purple. The shimmer in it is silver rather than purple which means it borders on having a foil finish instead of a jelly/sparkle finish that the other polishes in Summer Days have. As a result, to me, it doesn't have quite the same depth as the other polishes, but it is still very pretty.

Formula: This was a slight bit different than the other polishes from the collection. The formula was thinner and took me three coats to get an opaque finish. It also, as a result, took longer to dry.

The Wear: Whether it was my nail condition or the formula, I had small chips and tip wear overnight. I didn't have either with some of the other polishes in this collection (orange marmalade being the exception). But it stayed on during the day like a champ! No new chips as I typed away at work.

The Bottom Line: If you love purples as much as me, get it. Even if you don't love purples as much as me you'll want to get this one because it's just THAT pretty. But if you want it for the finish, pass and get Zoya Rea.

On a side note, I'm trying to understand why THIS polish has been looked at 77 times on Flickr. How is it more special than some of the others I've photographed? Very strange.
