NOTD: China Glaze Raspberry Festival

Another polish from China Glaze's Summer Days collection.

Color: Raspberry Festival is the darkest of the pink-to-red hued colors in this collection. Personally, I think they should have called this one "Cherry Pie" because it looks more like Cherry Pie than Cherry Pie does and it definitely doesn't remind me of raspberries. It reminds me of China Glaze Ruby Pumps, but not nearly as chunky on the glitter and just juicier. It's also a very slight bit on the cool side.

The Texture: Easily opaque in two coats. It's opacity is a bit more than Cherry Pie. Smooth, just like the rest of the polishes in this series. I will say that I did notice the "gummy" quality on this one - it took a little longer to dry than most of my polishes using Seche Vite with this one. And by the way, I didn't get any shrinkage with SV.

The Wear: Wear is excellent with a sticky base coat like Orly Bonder.

The Bottom Line: Not as unique as Orange Marmalade or Cherry Pie, but it's a good red to pick if you want something red but aren't interested in the "Hotness" of Cherry Pie.
