NOTD - China Glaze Strawberry Fields

The last of the Summer Days: Strawberry Fields

This is probably the most popular and most photographed out of the entire Summer Days collection. That makes me feel better because I could not for the life of me get a great picture of the golden shimmer (you can sort of see it on the thumb). If I can I'll try to to get a daylight picture - I think this will look much better under those conditions.

The Color: Hot pink with golden shimmer. This was opaque at 2 coats for me and the color comes out more solid than Orange Marmalade, Cherry Pie, or Raspberry Festival. More like Grape Juice in it's finish, but gold instead of silver.

The Formula: Thicker than some of the other Summer Days polishes. I suspect it'll wear just as well.

The Wear: Really very good. I used Orly Bonder base and Seche Vite top coat and I don't have the chips or tip wear I usually have after one day. (I've been happy as a whole with this collection since I started using Orly Bonder).

The Bottom Line: Get it before it's gone - too many people like this one. But if you're like me and have an aversion to pink, then get it anyway but only wear it on days when you're sitting in the sun with a Margarita. This would make a great pedicure.

A note on the decal - not too fond of stickers I realized. It was harder to put them on without messing my polish and I could have done a similar Konad design in just as much time (and that design would have laid flat). I guess that's a reason to stick with what you know.
