Kara's Polish of the Day - Zoya Mata Hari

My good friend and reader Kara was kind enough to let me show you a picture of her polish:

How alluring to have a polish named after the famous female entertainer and spy! I was recently at the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. and picked myself up a Mata Hari T-shirt. Maybe I should pick this polish up too so my shirt can match my polish! But this is really Kara's show...

The Color: Mata Hari is a berry red, sometimes has a bit of purple-ish tint to it. Kara said she thought it was a lot like Zoya Divincia (one of my favorite reds). When I looked at it, I thought that it was Divinica with a little more purple tone, more raspberry. I don't have a comparison shot, but I hope to get one at some point (Kara, willing).

The Formula: Talking with Kara, and observation, I see nothing that would suggest this formula is different from what Zoya normally produces.

The Wear: This was Kara's second day of wear. She did apply a third coat. Kara rarely (if ever) uses a base and top coat. Zoya stays put on her tips.

The Bottom Line: Neither Kara nor I were overly impressed by this polish. It is not unique. It is pretty, but you may have something similar (like Divincia).

You can purchase Mata Hari from Zoya.
