Polish of the Day - MAC Toast of the Town

Here's an outdoor pic so you can see the duochrome nature of this color:

I remember when this polish came out. It was release with the Barbie Loves MAC collection. Personally, I thought it was an extremely strange choice for a polish for this collection because there was nothing else in that collection like it. I purchased nearly everything in that oh-so-close-to-perfect collection including Toast of the Town. I was really unsure I would like it - I loved it. So I hoarded it and barely used it for fear I would use it up. Several years later, I don't like it nearly as much as I once did.

The Color: Brown, plum, green, and yellow-green-gold all play in this polish in different lighting. It's a very difficult polish to describe. Every picture I've seen of it comes out virtually the same - but in person the exact tone and shading is always changing depending on the light source. It reminds me of a description someone used for MAC Ostentatious Fluidline - "Baby Poo"

The Formula: Easy to apply, you'll need at least 2 coats for opaque coverage. The above pictures were taken with two coats. You probably want three to really get the colors to show up.

The Wear: A little chippy, honestly. Even with Orly Bonder.

The Bottom Line: If you are in to extremely unique polishes, this is one to track down. Other than that, it's a little bit ugly too. Would I ever give it up? Not a chance!
