The Great Boot Hunt Continues... sort of

As you know, I am on an ever continuous quest to find the perfect boot. I've had a few stumbles recently, finding what I thought was the perfect boot only to discover something wrong with it. I recently got back on track because I realized something: I am never going to find the perfect boot for to fit every occasion. For example, extreme snow and ice.

Well, Piperlime had a sale back in December and I found these babies:

Sporto Chelsea Boots in Brown Suede

Why did I pick these? They are so unlike me...
  • I decided if I was going to get winter boots they had better bet the funkiest "winter Nanook of the North" boots I could find.
  • The sale was REALLY good... I think I got them for around $60.
  • I couldn't resist the pompom ties - how ridiculous are those! I'm thinking cat toys...
They arrived one day too late for me to take to Montreal. Too bad for me because I could have used them. Around Ohio and Michigan, so far they've fared well in the snow and rain. My feet have stayed warm and dry. I couldn't ask for more. Hopefully I'll get a chance to test the ice first.

My only regret - not buying them in black to match more, but I was wearing jeans and a green sweater from Anthropologie when I ordered them so I think under the influence of my current apparel.

Now I just need to find a pair of skinny jeans to fit into in order to have them actually maybe look a bit chic.
