Re-Organized! My Makeup Stash (with pictures)

I finally got smart and purchased an Ikea Helmer to hold my Stash. I know, some of you out there have a stash that takes up six Helmers - and I am in awe. But it became painfully obvious I needed to do something about stash expansion and organization. My little drawer at the bathroom vanity was overflowing, I had items all over the edge of my tub, in my closet, on my dresser, everywhere. To save my sanity (and probably my husband's as well), the Helmer was a worthwhile purchase at $40.

The Helmer has six drawers. Today you'll see five of mine. The top drawer (drawer number 6) doesn't really contain anything of interest yet - I'm thinking it might be an accessories drawer.

And away we go!!!

Bottom Drawer: Pigments, Fluidlines, Paints, Gel Liners, Cream Color Bases, Paint Pots, etc. (Pencils I keep in a little jar near my vanity mirror)

Second Drawer: Eye shadows, Eye Shadow Palettes, Mineralize Eye Shadows, etc.

Third Drawer: Blushes, Mineralize Skin Finishes, Cream Blushes, etc. Everything face that isn't a powder or a foundation (that is still in my tiny vanity drawer).

Fourth Drawer: Lipsticks and glosses! (Liners are in a little jar I keep near my vanity mirror).

Fifth Drawer: Stuff I couldn't fit into the other drawers and miscellaneous stuff like lashes.

And there you have it. My Stash! Some items are not pictured because they are in my purse, but this is the majority of the stuff. I need to make more of those awesome Cardboard Organizers from EnkoreMakeup's tutorial on Pursebuzz. They were a pain in the butt to make but well worth it. Now that my stash has expanded, I need more. I think that may be my next project.

Incidentally, I purchased a second Helmer for my nail polish collection. But that isn't as much fun to photograph because most bottles are opaque from the top.
