Swatches! My Ginger + Liz Order Arrived!

My @GINGERandLIZ order arrived!!! (Follow them on Twitter - they are fun!)

I haven't been so excited about a shipment of polishes in such a long time. I first discovered Ginger + Liz after reading All Lacquered Up's review I had to order. I don't think I'm the only one. Unless I miss my guess I have the feeling this brand is going to be popping up a lot in the next couple of weeks. I think it already has started actually.

I'm not really a swatching person. I love doing full manicures and see how long they wear. It's like a little contest for me. But the lovely Aquilah wanted some swatches of my Ginger + Liz order so I just had to comply with that request. I was too excited not to.

Warning, you know my pics aren't the prettiest anyway, but these were done in haste! I really don't have any colors like these...

Chase Me You want Smurf blue? Seriously, think Smurf. That's not a bad thing - it's just uncomfortable for me. That's exactly why I ordered this polish. It's very much NOT me, and I wanted to expand my horizons. Now while I was swatching this one I was surprised to see that this cream did not dry with a glossy finish. I suspect it would look spectacular either glossy or matte. This is three coats.

I LOVE FOILS!!! You've been hearing about this one, I know. Swagger was the most pigmented of all the polishes I purchased. It only took one coat to cover my nails but I did two just in case. I was really worried this was going to be similar to Zoya Richelle. Thankfully Swagger is much lighter and almost more of a fleshy gold (I hate to use the word "flesh" to describe color since so few skin tones are what people usually consider "flesh" but I can't think of another way to put it.

Tough Luxe
You can tell this was still wet when I swatched right? I'll admit, I hoped it was another foil when I purchased it. But it's not and that's truly ok with me. Tough Luxe is a green with flashes of gold. It's what I tried to make when I put Golden Olive into clear polish and called it "Jabba the Haute". I will love this one a lot! But this one also took three coats.

Last but not least, Trance is my new treasure. Trance is a gorgeous maroon-brown holo. The holo effect is not as apparent as I would like unless you're in bright light, but wow is it gorgeous when it shows! It's absolutely unique from anything I own. It's gorgeous. Two coats. Beautiful!

Overall, I can't wait to see how these wear. I also can't wait to order more Ginger + Liz. Next I might have to try one of their wax finish polishes. I am officially curious.

You can find Ginger + Liz polishes for $12 each on their website.

Have you tried Ginger + Liz polishes? What polishes do you have? Do you have recommendations? Let me know in your comments!
