A Look for the In-Laws: Playing with Chanel and By Candlelight MSF

Yes, I did it. I splurged on the Chanel eye shadow singles for fall. Both of them. How could I not? Purple and green, and both have a taupe leaning??? Perfect! I am tempted to go back for the Enigma quad because you know that's right up my alley too...

Anyway, I wore this look to a Bridal Shower for my husband's cousin:

That lovely glow on my face you see? That's MAC By Candlelight MSF. I swear - it's like Lightscapade MSF for the summer. Get it!

Breakdown

Eyes - the only problem with the two Chanel singles is that when worn together, on me the tended to mush together. You can barely see the purple closer to my lash line, right?
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Chanel Ombre Essentielle Eye shadow in VERT KHAKI - all over lid
  • Chanel Ombre Essentielle Eye TAUPE GRISÉ - heavily lining upper lid and blending into Vert Khaki, also used under eyes
  • Chanel Mystic Eyes Quad: The Silver shadow - brow highlight
  • Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Ransom - lined upper and lower eyes
  • MAC Plushlash Mascara in Plush Black
Face
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in By Candlelight - a trick I learned from Lightscapade: put this MSF on your brush and go around the outside of your face, then lightly down your forehead, nose and chin. You'll get a great glow without being "Shiny".
  • MAC Beauty Powder in Pearl Blossom - apples of the cheeks, once I realized By Candlelight was too light to be a blush on me.

Lips
  • Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Glitter Kittiez - freaking gorgeous color, but it fades when you press your lips together a few times. Still working this one out. But I do  love it. Also, not sure on the name because on the lips I don't get a lot of Glitter
Did I get it right? Or too smokey for daytime?
