Review: Ling Skincare Re-Lite Eye Gel - I am now an eye cream convert!

Re-Lite Eye Gel image from Ling
When I was put in touch with the Ling Skincare representative I have been working with I mentioned that I have a few friends and readers who always ask me about eye creams. I also mentioned that I myself had only recently begun looking at eye creams (I had a sample of one from my dermatologist to wear only at night because it was so thick). I explained that being 31years old I was starting to get concerned about lines at the corners of my eyes, and general tired and puffiness.  She sent me a bottle of the Re-Lite Eye Gel to try out, saying that it was one of her favorite products in the line. I am so glad she did because I seriously am in love with this product.

What the Website Claims
"An advanced formula with Soy and Rice Bran Protein infused with Arnica Extract to relieve puffiness and treat dark circles around the eye area."
What My Big Book of Ling Skincare Stuff Says
"This therapeutic eye gel promotes collagen formation, increases healthy blood circulation, reduces melanin formation and strengthens blood capillaries to reduce dark circles around the delicate eye area. In addition to combating the underlying causes of skin darkening, this product reduces the appearance of fine lines and firms the thin eye tissue."

Creamy. Not gel-like as the name would suggest. It absorbs into the skin like a lotion.

This product does have a faint smell of apricots. I thought this would be the kiss of death for me for this product but surprisingly it does not bother my eyes.

So happy I got to try this one for free because I would not pay the $80 for 0.5 fl/oz without personally knowing someone who's had success with this product. I'm cheap like that, and as I said I had viewed eye creams as an extra afterthought. It's about twice the cost of what I could purchase from my dermatologist.Yes, I know... compared to a lot of eye creams out there this isn't much. I am just not used to it.

My Results
I will admit right now that me using any eye cream probably improves upon using none. But I like this one. I have been using Re-Lite Eye Gel both day and night. I can confirm that yes, it can be worn under makeup. You're eyes won't feel goopy. So put that fear away right now! Anyway, here's what I have experienced:
  • Reduction in dark circles/bags - yes even on the mornings when I don't get sleep my eyes look brighter. I wash my face and reapply and they still look good.
  • Reduction in "crows feet" and other lines I did't know I had - Seriously, I had no idea that I had so many tiny lines around my eyes. I smile, I get the crows feet. My under eye lids weren't smooth but wrinkled and baggy (though not terribly). I just didn't know until they tarted going away! And that area around my eyes has been getting smoother.
  • Reduction in milia around my eye - Granted, this was never a huge issue for me, but I did have little bumps around my eyes. Most of them around the outer corners of my eyes have vanished.
Seriously, I never would have thought I would ever get into an eye cream the way I have this one. I so wish I had taken a "before" so you could see an "after" picture. But I thnk if you go through my photos of my eyes of the day you will see a bit of the difference I have noticed. Of course, with the detail we are talking here, I am my best judge because I doubt you'll scrutinize my skin the way I scrutinize my skin.

Bottom Line
This product has become my favorite part of my skincare routine. You can bet I'll be purchasing it when my bottle runs out. Big Thumbs Up!!!

I would love to see how it stacks up against some of the other eye products out there, so if you are an eye cream enthusiast and happen to order this one, please drop me a line and let me know what you think. This product has definately made me an eye cream convert.
