Read what Penhaligon's Press Release Has to Say About The Collaboration:
Penhaligon’s is delighted to be working with Meadham Kirchhoff to scent their S/S 2011 collection. Penhaligon’s has been working with Meadham Kirchhoff for their past three collections; the designers personally choose a fragrance to reflect and compliment the style of their collection. The pieces, models and catwalk are then all scented with the fragrance.

Meadham Kirchhoff has chosen the classic fragrance Bluebell for their S/S 2011 collection. Created in 1978, this is the pure and unadulterated distillation of the scent of bluebell woods. The telltale earthy sweetness of hyacinths rises through the soft citrus Head Notes and mingles with rose, lily and jasmine at the heart. As it settles the flowers give way to spicy clove and cinnamon and the unique textural base note of bittersweet galbanum. Tremendously evocative of wet earth, moss and rain, it instantly transports you to the woodland, surrounded by dripping leaves, skin tingling with spring. The catwalk show happens today, September 20th, at 18:30 (in London of course!).
I personally have not smelled Bluebell but would love to do so at some point. It sounds like it could be quite a unique scent. Bluebell is available from Penhaligon's for $110 in the US or £70.00 in the UK.
Now you know I couldn't just leave it at the smell... not being familiar with Meadham Kirckhoff, I decided to have a peak at images from their Winter/Spring 10/11 show. Apparently these are not the ones from the show, so I'll try to pull some post-show (tomorrow) for us to ponder over and scrutinize.
