Quest For My Pretty - Weekly Weight Loss Report

The double edged sword rears it's ugly head... or it will soon I guess because I didn't gain this week. What I mean by that is I am about to start building muscle which means the scale will go in the opposite direction.

I started ChaLEAN Extreme. I went out and purchased a set of Powerblocks and proper cross training footwear for my use. We all know muscle weighs more than fat so I may actually have to start tracking inches in order to not get discouraged. I expect that I will start gaining weight, no matter what I do, even if I lose fat in the process. We will have to see.

I had a couple of stumbling blocks eating-wise this week. My husband and I had a very lovely dinner at The Melting Pot (I will be posting my look for that soon). Also, I had a couple of business dinners this week. I tried to be good, I really did. Thank you to The Cheesecake Factory for putting up nutritional information - I had no idea the Chinese Chicken Salad (my favorite) would be one of the better things on that menu! But it is always hard in an "eat-out with colleagues" situation. Let's see how I did...

Weight: 176.6 lbs (-2.4 lbs)
Pretty darn good!  By the way - look how close I am to having lost 30 lbs! Nearly there! Check the counter to the right!

What Went Right This Week
  • Got the right shoes finally!
  • Purchased my Powerblocks! 
Focus for Next Week
I am just as uncomfortable about losting 2.4 lbs as I am happy about such a big loss. So this coming week I want to make sure I get all my food in. I think I was under a few days and that could start to get tricky. Theoretically, my metabolism should be getting better though.

Now that I am on a weight training program I need to stick with it. I also need to figure out the best way to add in more cardio. I may have some scheduling juggling to do. If you have an tips you want to pass on, you know I am all ears!
