My Venomous Villains Maleficent Look! (Well, the first one really).

Before the products were even known, back when we all got the promo shots of the Villains that MAC was going to use for their collaboration for Venomous Villains  I knew that it didn't matter what was in the Maleficent collection - I was most likely going to have to have it. Why? Well, quite honestly Maleficent was my favorite of all the villains that were going to be in Venomous Villains collections (I also love Ursula the Sea Witch but she wasn't chosen).

I've always loved the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty, and I could identify with the absolutely wonderfully wicked Maleficent. Seriously - if you found out that everyone was invited to a party BUT you wouldn't you get a little ticked off too? Granted, I wouldn't condemn a little baby girl to death for it but along with the "I can't believe they hate me that much" self-pity there would be vengeful thoughts in there somewhere. So really, Maleficent - we all understand you and have been in your situation. You just took it a little bit too far.

Lucky for me, Maleficent had some of the coolest products! Here's what I did with them:

Honestly, my favorite product out of this entire collection is the Briar Rose Beauty Powder. It has a fuchsia cast to it, and looks like a great match for Violetta on me (which I already owned).

Breakdown

Eyes
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in She Who Dares - Blue shade on the lid applied wet. The green shade was applied dry in the crease. The two blended quite a bit. You could get away with this same look using Fyrinnae Biker Chic I think.
  • Meow Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Virgin - brow highlight.
  • MAC Pearlglide Eye Liner in Blackline - Lining top lid.
  • MAC Pearlglide Eye Liner in Undercurrent - Lining lower lid.
  • MAC Plushlash Mascara in Plushblack
Face
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light
  • MAC Beauty Powder in Briar Rose - Applied as blush. If you're fair, it's totally a blush rather than a beauty powder.
Lips
  • MAC Lipstick in Violetta
  • MAC Cremestick Liner in Lush 'n Lilac
  • MAC Lipglass in All Woman - I used this to make Violetta to make it just a little bit less purple and more pink.
