Holiday Party Look - Trying to copy Sephora

When I was getting ready for my husband's company's holiday party this weekend, I was reading beauty blogs for inspiration and stumbled onto Beauty and the Blog's post about Sephora's Holiday Looks. Feeling a bit insane, I decided to give this look a try... but without the false eyelashes.

For reference, here's the You Tube video with the look I was trying to copy:

Now we all know that I'm not the greatest artist in the world, but I had a lot of fun here.

Note: This was my first time using any Nyx product. I have to say that the Nyx pigment I used was a little chunkier than my MAC pigments, but could hold it's own in terms of pigmentation.

I look like a little freak but it was so much fun!

Eyes

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • MAC Vanilla Pigment - all over upper lid.
  • MAC Mutiny Pigment - began lining and then creeping halfway up eye.
  • MAC Accent Red Pigment - using a small brush, I patted this on my lower lid and lash line.
  • NYX Apricot Pigment - using the same small brush a blended the outer edge of the Accent Red with this in order to fade it into my skin color.
  • MAC Showstopper Eye Shadow - Brow color.
  • MAC Fluidline in Delphic - Added to upper lashes as a little extra liner.
Face
  • MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light - All over face
  • MAC Blush in Strada - as a contour
  • MAC Blush in Stray Rose - very lightly on outer edges of cheesk
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscaped - around my face
  • MAC Glimmershimmmer in Etiquet - to give a bit of pink shimmer to cheeks
Lips
  • Cover Girl Lip Stain - Can't remember the name
  • MAC Lip Glass in Malibu Barbie
  • MAC Lip Gelee in Who's That Lady?

Anyway, this was me stepping way out of my comfort zone and having fun. It wasn't perfect, and I wish I'd had the lashes. In the end it was a good party.
