Quest For My Pretty - Weekly Weight Loss Report

Hello everyone! I hope your Thanksgiving Holiday was as good (or better) than mine. I'm going to tell you right now that I think I did the best job I could have on my eating, tracking calories, and exercise that I could considering the circumstances. And that's really all I can ask for. I really didn't want to sacrifice having a good time with my family for weight loss. And I didn't.

Weight: 165.1 lbs ( +0.4 lbs) I consider this Maintaining!

As a very witty reader said the last time I gained a half a pound "eat more fiber!" (Hee Hee).  Its a lot better than it could have been. Seriously... here are my calorie infractions:

  • My Husband's Mini Muffins - When you're craving snacks and hubs has created something yummy it's hard to pass them up. I also probably was not counting them correctly in terms of calories.
  • Mom's Pumpkin Bread - Filled with cream cheese, I had no idea how to count this. So my snacking on it (which was minimal) didn't help.
  • Mom's Graham Cracker Pie - At the time, I didn't know how many calories were in it. But I was underestimating A LOT. I worked it out by looking at the recipe and if I split the pie into 8 servings it's 392 calories per serving. Yeah... I was way off.
  • Cheese! - As usual, I brought back a Gouda from Amsterdam for my mom. I didn't count my calories very well snacking on this. I should weigh my ounces.
  • Wine -  When I drink, I drink. So the two bottles of sparkling white my mom and I shared while watching the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo probably should have counted for more than I recorded. But I tried to record them.
  • Ruffles Potato Chips - While this wasn't really a "last week" thing, I think this could have come into play from the previous week. We had a bag. I was hungry. I wanted something salty. I am looking for a substitute. Potato chips are just evil. And I felt awful after having them.
  • Mom's Bad Banana Bread - I can't resist banana bread, even when my mom says it's "bad". I probably forgot to count this in my calorie intake.
On the plus side, I did get all of my prescribed exercise in. I should have done an extra day on Sunday just to make up for the calorie fest, but I did not. I was actually quite tired and needed a break.

Focus for Next Week
Continue with exercise. Start planning for completion of ChaLEAN Extreme workout series. Find healthier snacks and start having them in the house instead of Pumpkin Bread and Potato chips! Too many carbs...
