Quest For My Pretty: The 40 Day Goal!!!

If you're looking for a weight update today, you're not going to get it. I forgot what day it was due to the holiday on Monday (yes my work had it off) and it just skipped my mind. However, I'm announcing a new fitness goal for myself. After all, it is now Lent. I'm not particularly religious, but I like to use this time to create a new good habit. It has helped me in the past, and I suspect this "trick" will help me in the future. I set a goal, I have a time limit. It's all good!

New Fitness Goal For Lent:
Last year, I did 400 Push Ups in 40 days. This time, I intend to do 600.

Doing Les Mill's Pump and Shred on Monday I was confronted with a reality: my arm muscles are not as strong as they were when I was doing Insanity back in October. I really didn't like that I couldn't even make it to 10 Pushups before having to go to my knees. That's ridiculous and I'm better than that!

What's Changing:
Last year my only rule was that I was doing Tricep Pushups. This time I'm making up some more parameters:
  • 15 Pushups instead of 10 - 10 was too easy last year.
  • Any type of pushup so long as they aren't on my knees! - I have a nice repertoire of pushups thanks to Insanity so I should use them.
  • At least 5 of my Pushups a day should be Tricep Pushups. 
I'll be including my upkeep on this goal with my Weekly Weight Loss Report.

So... what should I reward myself with at the end of this? Hmmm....
