Battling birthdays and buns... that's what I've been doing all week! You see, my husband had his birthday on May 4th - that meant desert at The Melting Pot (and a Campfire Martini). Then on Sunday we had the neighbors over for a hamburger cook out. In both instances I think I did fine staying on target for my calories. I didn't over-eat on ANY of my days this week. So by all accounts, I should have had a loss. However, sometimes the quality of the calories really does matter, and I have learned in the past that my body tends to like certain foods better than others in terms of fuel that will drop pounds...
Weight: 166.8 lbs (-0.0 lbs)
I should say that I weighed myself yesterday and I was down to 164.4 lbs. so YES the body does fluctuate dramatically. My dinner last night and the sodium content probably has a lot to do with my lack of any real weight drop. But I expect it to even out eventually.
Another factor I should not forget: I worked out harder this week than I have in a long time. One day I managed to burn about 2950 calories in one day from a combination of Les Mills PUMP, walking, and Turbo Kick. I've been walking so very much just to get steps and calorie burn to where I want it to be, I could very well be experiencing some water retention as my muscles try to recuperate.
Mark my words: Next Monday WILL be better! I just have to be VERY aware of my eating when my parents come down for Mother's Day.
